Obituary of Gloria Jean Throneberry

Gloria Jean Throneberry May 27, 1942 - December 30, 2013 A service of celebration for Gloria Jean Throneberry, 71, of Lovington, NM will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 3rd & Central Church of Christ at 2:00 pm with David Stewart and Roy Van Pendergrass officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Gloria was born on May 27, 1942 in Littlefield, Texas to Russell and Mae (Ray) Blevins and passed away at her residence on December 30, 2013. She married Emery Throneberry on June 2, 1962 in Littlefield, TX and they have shared fifty one years together. Gloria was a people person, always sending uplifting cards to others and sending daily scriptures to friends. She loved to draw and enjoyed reading and playing games on her I-pad. She was a very giving, loving person and had a heart for the hurting and people in need. She was secretary for 3rd & Central Church of Christ for 31 years and an active member of the church. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, Emery of the home, one son: Kevin Scott and wife Lynette Throneberry of Artesia, NM; two daughters: Monette Alane and husband Rusty Abrams of Forney, TX and Martha Cecilia Throneberry of Pensacola, FL; two brothers: David and wife Donna Blevins of Lubbock, TX and Russell and wife Kenny Blevins of Katy, TX; two sisters: Oleta and husband Joe Coleman of Tomball, TX and Saundra and husband Roy Van Pendergrass of San Angelo, TX; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
