Obituary of Augrelio G. Vasquez

Augrelio G. Vasquez December 05, 1959 - May 28, 2017 Funeral services for Augrelio G. Vasquez, 57, of Lovington, NM will be held on June 5, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel with Pastor Ken Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Vasquez was born in Petersburg, TX on December 5, 1959 to Eugenio and Esperanza (Gomez) Vasquez and passed away on May 28, 2017 in Lubbock, TX. Mr. Vasquez’s family came to Lovington when he was very small and he has lived here most all of his life. He worked for Ray Willis and Hughes Services in the oilfield until he became ill and had to retire. He enjoyed bingo, working crossword puzzles, TV, and was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan. His family really enjoyed his good cooking. He loved his family and especially liked being with his grandkids. He had a good sense of humor and liked being a joker. He was an outgoing man He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Odulia Guzman and Angelita Cruz. Surviving him is his wife Earnestine Vasquez of the home; three sons: Auggie and wife Angelica Vasquez of Lovington, NM, Angel and wife Veronica Vasquez of Odessa, TX, and Eric and wife Mirna Vasquez of Lovington, NM; four sisters: Blanca and husband Beto Ontiveros of Lovington, NM, Lupe and husband Leon Sanchez of Lovington, NM, Connie Sanchez of Lovington, NM, and Juanita Casas of Lovington, NM and ten grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from noon time until Rosary. Rosary is at 6:00 pm at Kirbv-Smith-Rogers Chapel
