Juanita Velasquez March 16, 1969 - May 18, 2015 Memorial services for Juanita Velasquez,46, of Hobbs, NM will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Redentor Molina officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Rosary will be on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Juanita was born on March 16, 1969 in Lovington, NM to Lawrence and Elvira Herrera and passed away on May 18, 2015 in El Paso, TX. Juanita liked to go fishing, be around her family and watch scary movies. Also she enjoyed playing bingo, collecting Indians and loved music by Los Temerarios. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Velasquez; Parents: Lawrence and Elvira Herrera, and one brother Alcario Juan Herrera. She is survived by one daughter: Xylina Velasquez of Hobbs, NM; four brothers: Lawrence Jr. and wife Rosa Herrera of Artesia, NM, Christopher and wife Valerie Herrera of Lovington, NM, Michael Herrera of Lovington, NM, and Pete and wife Erica Herrera of Lovington, NM; three sisters: Michelle and husband Tony Barrientos of Lovington, NM, Sylvia and husband Jose Laborin of Lovington, NM, and Mary Ann and husband Armando Marquez of Hobbs, NM.
