Edward Laverne Cooper October 31, 1948 - July 03, 2009 Edward L. Cooper, 60, of Lovington passed away on July 3, 2009 at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock. He was born in Tacoma, Washington on October 31, 1948 to Edward L. & Maxine Gordon. He married Nancy Wilson on July 10, 1981 in Lovington. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife, Nancy of the home, 1 son, Edward “Bud” & wife Katrina Davidson of Yukon, OK and 1 daughter, Jennifer & husband Chad Gienapp of Dallas, Georgia, 2 brothers, Gary Cooper of Ruidoso, NM and Mark Alan Gillen of Odessa, TX and 1 sister, Debra and husband Mark Hughes of Ruidoso, NM and nine grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith- Rogers Funeral Home.
