William "Neill" Walker July 31, 1920 - June 12, 2016 Graveside services for former Lovington resident, William “Neill” Walker, 95, will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11:30 am at Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Neill was born to J.B. and Lorena Walker on July 31, 1920 in Tahoka, Texas and passed away on June 12, 2016 in Alamogordo, NM. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1940 and was honorably discharged in 1945. In 1946, he married Claudie Sue Fort and they shared sixty eight wonderful years together. Neill was a Texas Tech graduate, a farmer and former owner of Caprock Insurance Agency. He was a fifty year member of Lovington Masonic Lodge # 46 and a member of the Lovington Kiwanis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Claudie Sue, three brothers and three sisters. Surviving him are his children, Ty Walker of Roswell, NM, Jill Harlow of La Luz, NM and Gary Walker of Lubbock, TX and his grandchildren: Trey Harlow, Ryan Harlow, Deven Walker Andrus, Brent Walker and Lindsey Walker and four great-grandchildren: Corinne Harlow, Paul Harlow, Bradley Harlow and Harper Wilkes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Neill’s memory to the charity of your choice.
