Obituary of Apolonia Villescas Yanez

Apolonia Villescas Yanez April 21, 1929 - June 18, 2016 Funeral services for Apolonia (Villescas) Yanez, 87, of Lovington, NM will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 10:00 am at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home with Father Redentor Molina officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Yanez was born in San Francisco, Durango, Mexico on April 21, 1929 to Serapie and Elpidia (Gomez) Villescas and passed away at Nor-Lea Hospital on June 18, 2016. She grew up in Mexico and has been in Lovington approximately twenty five years. She was married to Gabino Yanez who preceded her in death. She also enjoyed watching novelas and crocheting. Mrs. Yanez was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother. She is survived by four sons: Manuel and wife Lilia Yanez of Midland, TX; Daniel and wife Marilou of Hobbs, NM; Juan Yanez and companion, Leticia Guillen of Lovington and Gabino and wife Aurora Yanez of Lovington, NM; three daughters: Marcella and husband Francisco Estrada of Artesia, NM; Francisca and husband Manuel Gutierrez of Mexico and Ramona and husband Martin Cortez of Lovington, NM; one brother: Andres Alvarado of Colorado; also forty-one grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 11:00 am until Rosary time at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com.
