Graveside memorial services for Jackie "Jack" Ray Griffin, 85, of Hobbs, NM will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobbs at 1:00 pm with Pastor John Ayers officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith- Rogers Funeral Home. Jack was born on July 17, 1933 in Hobbs, NM to Amos and Pauline (Philpot) Griffin and passed away on December 26, 2018 in Hobbs. Jack served in the U S Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Bonnie Pruett in 1952 and they have shared sixty six years together. He was employed with Dowell for the State Oil Commission as a Field Representative for OCD for many years. Preceding him in death were his parents: one sister: Rhodora Lacy and one granddaughter: Erin Ramsey. Surviving him is his wife Bonnie of the home; one son: Ray and wife Susan Griffin of Seiling, OK and one daughter: Kim and husband J. D. Massey of Hobbs, NM; two brothers; Floyd Griffin of Hobbs and Ruben Griffin of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters: Vanita Young of Odessa, TX and Ida and husband Bob Benson of Westerly, R.I.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
