Obituary of Andrea Madrid

Funeral services for Andrea Pando Madrid, 50, Of Odessa, TX will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Andrea was born on November 30, 1968 in Ventura, CA to Domingo Pando Sr. and Dolores (Moreno) Pando and passed away on March 16, 2019 in Lovington, NM. Andrea grew up in Lovington and attended school here where she played volleyball and ran track. She married Adan Madrid on April 19, 1985 and they made their home in Odessa, TX where Andrea was employed by Ector County Independent School District for twenty plus years. She helped at school a lot when her boys were there and if one of them didn't show up to school, she knew it and called and said "Get yourself to school." She loved watching her boys play ball and was not only a great housekeeper but an awesome cook. She was a loving, forgiving person with a good mix of humor and joking around and was truly a family oriented person. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She was loved very dearly in return by her family, and the many friends she made through the years. She was preceded in death by her father, Domingo Pando Sr. and one sister, Marion Cardona. Surviving her is her husband Adan Madrid of the home; two sons: Anthony and wife Nidia Madrid of Odessa, TX and Adan and wife Priscilla Madrid of Odessa, TX; her mother: Dolores Pando of Lovington, NM; three brothers: Jose Garza Sr. of Lovington, NM, James and wife Rosa Pando of Lovington, NM, and Domingo Jr and wife Taylor Pando of Lovington, NM; one sister: Adelaida Gonzalez of Lovington, NM; three grandchildren and another one soon: Michael, Iliana, and Isaiah. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from noon until time for rosary at 6:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
