Larry was a good guy, and when we were both in elementary school (or was it Central Jr. High) I spent the weekend at the Dean home way out west of town in the middle of their ranch. They had a pack of greyhounds that were so exotic to me then, partly because the dogs were used to do what the breed was meant to do--hunt coyotes and keep the ranch animals from harm. Larry also had a pet fox--yes a wild fox that he had raised from when it was very young. That fox would tear around Larry's big upstairs bedroom like a banshee--it was still wild at heart. Who has a pet fox? Larry did! Seems like there was a pond by their house as well. Water was always memorable. Larry' parents were so generous and all-around great people, as was Larry. My deepest condolences.
